Questions. Answers, too!

Q: How can I buy one of your items?

A:Coming soon: online shopping!

In the meantime, if you have something in mind (a quilt, a size 4 T-shirt in green with a guitar on it, etc.), please e-mail me at kat@artcloth.com.

I'll be happy to call &/or e-mail you and ship your order anywhere in the world. I accept checks, money orders, Mastercard, Visa and AMEX.

Q: Do you accept wholesale orders?

A: Yes. I do sell selected items to wholesale customers. Please e-mail me for complete information.

Q: I bought a shirt -- is it safe to wash?

A: Definitely. All of my clothing is machine washable on a cool setting and can be tumble dried. (Purses must be dry cleaned.)

All dyed goods are washed multiple times in hot and cold water to remove excess dye. But if you're concerned about bleeding, wash your item with a dark load the first time, or use a Color Catcher sheet in the wash.

LINKS & INSPIRATIONS

Adaptive Reuse

Christine Terrell (aka Goddess of Thrift) crafts artful, clever, fun-to-wear jewelry out of recycled (oops, UPcycled) metal and found objects. She's also a talented graphic designer and fellow misanthropic mom.

Stitch Lab and Glitzkrieg
The amazing Leslie Bonnell teaches the best sewing classes in Austin. She's a smart, encouraging, understanding instructor with a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humor. If you're interested in learning to sew, refining your skills, or taking a class for fun, look her up pronto. Those classes fill fast!
And if that weren't heart-stopping enough. . .
Miss Leslie also crafts exquisite jewelry and accessories. Those earrings I had on that you liked? Mmm-hmm, hers. Check out the Glitzkrieg link above, and then find her lovelies in person at Parts & Labour and Moxie & The Compound in Austin.

Tatjana Versaggi
Exquisitely talented artist working in paint, canvas, thread, paper, and whatever else strikes her spirit. This multilingual vixen has lived all over the world, but now we're lucky to have her nestled right here in the Texas Hill Country. Collect her work now, while you can still afford her!

Metalsgirl
I love Laura Gibson! Her creative, stylish metal/resin/herb jewelry is modern but warms the heart. Sorta like the artist! She is also a founder of Blue Dog Rescue. If you're looking for a furry new companion, there's no better place to find one.

Ornamental Things
Natalie Tischler seeks out vintage jewelry pieces and "upcycles" them into fabulous new baubles. I love her sense of whimsy and sharp eye for color and proportion. Plus, she's one of the nicest people in Austin. (Which doesn't mean she isn't dang sharp, and hilarious, too.)

One Creative Girl
Melissa Gable creates retrolicious collages, corsages and jewelry -- plus, she's a talented professional graphic designer. I really enjoy her fab color sense and keen eye for composition. Not to mention her dry wit and appreciation for amphibians and retro decor!

Bolsa Bonita
Liz Potter brings a wicked sense of design and color to the sewing machine, and makes the coolest purses around.

Committed to Cloth
Claire Benn & Leslie Morgan,

Jane Dunnewold/Art Cloth Studios

Jane created the contemporary art cloth movement. She's a magnificent teacher and all-around good egg.
I highly recommend her books, DVDs and classes.

Jeff Brouws
High lonesome art photography.

Pema Chödrön
Be cool, for a change.

Richard Ross
Since childhood, I've been haunted by memories, images, dreamscapes
of natural history museums. This photographer's Museology series captures the sick, visceral sense of awe and terror I feel in those eerie, sacred, static spaces.
